Army & Air Force Exchange Service Salutes Veterans with Free Challenge Coins on Veterans Day

DALLAS – The Army & Air Force Exchange Service (Exchange) will thank Veterans for their service with free commemorative challenge coins at PXs and BXs worldwide this Veterans Day.

Most PXs and BXs will hand out coins Nov. 11, and some locations will hold giveaways on nearby dates. Veterans can find local dates and times at ShopMyExchange.com/salutetoservice or on their PX or BX social media pages.

The commemorative coins feature an American bald eagle and America 250 design on one side and the six Armed Forces emblems on the other.

“A challenge coin is a mark of respect, earned through service,” said Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Angela Holden, the Exchange’s senior enlisted advisor. “This year's limited-edition coin also celebrates America's 250th birthday. It's a small thank-you for a debt we can't repay.”

This marks the seventh straight year the Exchange is joining the Navy Exchange Service Command, Marine Corps Exchange and Coast Guard Exchange to honor those who served.

The giveaway is part of the Exchange’s Salute to Service Month, a celebration throughout November recognizing and celebrating selfless service. Additional giveaways include:

· Nov. 7: Veteran for Life keychains. · Nov. 20: Collectible penny POGs, a nod to the cardboard currency used in Southwest Asia in the 2000s.
